6.01 Release draft Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) for public comment  
PURPOSE & ACTION: The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), which is due in October 2026, builds on  
ON TO 2050 and will serve as the long-term transportation policy and investment framework for  
northeastern Illinois. The project team will present the components of the draft plan - including the  
socioeconomic forecast, financial plan, regional capital projects, and policy advancements - and seek  
approval to release the plan for the public comment period, anticipated to run from June 12 through  
July 31.
